Bugs and boy stuff

Here are the football pics.  It's the best resolution I could get with a boy who is constantly moving.  

 Aiden has been playing with his bugs all week.  Last Sunday while at a friend's house one of the dad's caught a dragon fly for him.  They are super hard to catch.  Then on Monday his dad caught a grasshopper.  Aiden was sooooo excited.  Mid-week he let the dragon fly free after a lot of prompting from us.  I guess they eat mosquitos and we didn't think we could catch any of those to feed him.  The grasshopper was staying no matter what.  Aiden gave him fresh leaves every day and a little water.  He lasted all week- much to my surprise.  Aiden is a lot like the "ant bully" shaking his bug catcher cage and squishing bugs before putting them in the cage.  He just checked on the grass hopper who is now on his back - legs up.  I told Aiden he was a goner.  He shook and shook the cage and the grasshopper moved.  He yelled "HE'S ALIVE!!" like in the Frankenstein movie.   Aiden has also been taking the bugs in and out of the cage, letting them crawl on him awhile then putting them back in (ewwwww).  It's been raining all weekend and he found a worm on the driveway.  He decided the worm must also go to the "bug morgue".  When he checked on it later it had escaped.  We found it about a foot away.  He must have squeazed out one of the holes.  You might be thinking "luck worm".  Nope, he was re-caught, played with for awhile and put back in with the grasshopper.  Rats and snails and puppy dog tails....I am learning of the new world of boyhood.
