Anniversary

Happy 6th Anniversary Brock!

This picture was taken on our honeymoon in Palm Springs, CA.  We had originally planned on going to New Orleans but hurricane Issadore put a halt to that.  The hotel we were to stay in flooded through the first floor.  It was only a tropical storm by the time it hit but most of New Orleans closed down and had strict curfews.  Not our idea of a fun time.  You might be thinking - why New Orleans during hurriane season?  Well, it just so happens I had a work conference to go to there and we thought we would extend it to a honeymoon (romantic, eh? - my idea).  The conference hosts are from the UK so maybe they didn't realize the scheduling mishap.  So just a few days before we were supposed to leave we decided on Palm Springs (figured no storms to worry about in the desert).  We had a great time.  We got lucky for our wedding day too.  Since autum is our favorite time of year we decided on late September for a wedding date (the 21st is the last day of summer, but we were close).  We got married on a boat on Lake Minnetonka and it being that late in the season in Minnesota was a little risky.  We had beautiful weather.  All of our friends and family made it for the "3 hour tour" (sing the Gilligan's Island song here).  We had a wonderful day!
