Anniversary Dinner

Last Thursday we went to dinner for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary which is actually later this month.  I would post the group picture but they did not turn out at all.  Gayle, Gavin, Patrick and all his kids were also there.  We had a nice time and a good dinner.  The parents are on their way to Arizona for the winter just in time.  It's a bit nippy outside lately with highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's.   We bought most of Aiden's winter gear yesterday and ran into some luck with his winter parka.  It was on sale and included the hat and permanently attached mittens.  Now that's thinking!  We bought snow pants and we are waiting a few more weeks for the boots to make sure they will fit all winter long.

Brock's family is coming up for Thanksgiving and Aiden has been talking on and on about seeing his Grandma from Texas.  He is pretty excited.  He has a little difficulty with the concept of time and that it's another two months away.  Brock is already figuring out the meat requirements for this Thanksgiving extravaganza - go figure.  I'm sure whatever he ends up doing will turn out great.

Aiden picked out his Halloween costume - Optimus Prime transformer.  He doesn't seem too excited about the costume but it's what he picked.  Hopefully he doesn't change his mind.  He will match his cousin who will also be a transformer - Bumblebee.  So if we get a chance to meet up and do some trick-or-treating together they will be a force to reckon with.
